If the prescriber orders, for example, an armsleeve made with a zipper or a gauntlet in a non-standard colour, you will receive a payment for providing that modified garment. However, this will only be the cost of the base garment and the optional extra as in the Drug Tariff part IXA.

No additional fees or charges are payable other than those applicable to the base garment as all that is being dispensed is the base garment with optional modifications.

The optional extras are classed as no charge items and should be endorsed as such. The back of the form should be completed as normal.
