Whether an item is allowed on an FP10 if it's not listed in the Drug Tariff will depend on if the prescribed item is a medicinal product or a medical device.

Pharmacies will always be paid for supplying a medicinal product on an FP10 prescription unless it is blacklisted (listed in Part XVIIIA of the Drug Tariff) or requires an additional endorsement that is not present, for example SLS, in which case it will be referred back.

Contractors will only be paid for supplying a medical device if it is listed in Part IX of the Drug Tariff.

A 'CE'  or 'UKCA' marked medical device must be listed in Part IX of the Drug Tariff to be allowed on an FP10. It must also be ordered by the prescriber as it appears in the Drug Tariff.
