Primary Care Support England are responsible for creating performer numbers in England.
The Local Health Board are responsible for creating performers in Wales.
Once a performer is added to the GDC register, you can add them on Compass. The GDC register is updated on Compass once a month.

If you try to create a performer on Compass who is not on the GDC register, you will receive the error message ‘GDC number doesn't exist'. This error can be overridden by pressing ‘Ok’ on the pop-up message and continuing to create the performer if you have one of the following user roles:
- Administrator Plus Primary User
- Primary Users
- Performer Create and Update
