Override Rules can be applied by a Integrated Care Board (ICB) / Local Health Board (LHB) to allow a claim(s) to be processed outside normal claim validation rules.
If an override rule is required, the Provider must contact their ICB/LHB directly. If they are prepared to authorise the claim(s) outside normal claim validation rules, they then apply an Override Rule.
When the override rule has been applied, the practice will be contacted and asked to submit the claim(s).
