Failed Validation = the claim has rejected because there is insufficient or conflicting information

Deleted = A scheduled claim that has subsequently been deleted and may have been replaced

Validated = The claim has passed validation and is awaiting inclusion in the next schedule (previous known as prescheduled)

Processed = The claim has been validated and has been included in a schedule (if you scroll along the page it will tell you which period it was included in)

There is then the status of Cleared and there are 3 reasons why this status would apply;

  1. A claim that failed validation has been amended by you. The amended claims will now show as validated or processed and the original claim in error shows as cleared.

  2. A claim that failed validation because of a scanning issue has been amended by NHS Dental Services. The amended claims will now show as validated or processed and the original claim in error shows as cleared.

  3. A claim that has failed validation has not been amended and is over 6 months old will be cleared by the system.
