If you've recently taken over a contract and been issued a new contract number, you will need authorisation from your Commissioner (Sustainability and Transformation Partnership / Local Health Board) to submit continuation / guarantee claims under your new contract that follow on from claims originally completed on the old contract number.

If the Commissioner has used the 'Contract Provider Change' process on Compass and therefore the contract number hasn't changed when you took over, you can submit you continuation / guarantee claims as normal without any authorisation.

If the Commissioner is prepared to authorise continuation / guarantee claims to be submitted on your new contract number, they must request this via email to our claims processing department.

Once your Commissioner has contacted us with details of the patient(s) they wish to authorise you to claim for, we will contact you with information on when you can submit these.
