A late submitted claim is a claim that is not sent within the required timescale. The timescale depends on the country where your contract is held.
You should check your monthly schedules and submit claims as soon as possible. This helps reduce the risk of claims being late.
England
A claim is late if it’s received more than 2 months after the completion date.
If a claim is submitted late:
- it will still be processed
- zero Units of Dental Activity (UDAs) will be allocated
- the patient charge will still be applied
Wales
Claims can be submitted throughout the financial year.
You have 20 working days to submit any final claims at year end.
