Secondary Care is when a patient is referred to a hospital by their dentist for dental treatment. When a patient is referred for secondary care, all of the patient's treatment is carried out as two separate courses of treatment.

You would claim this in the same way you would claim a normal Course of Treatment (CoT). Your FP17 needs to contain the information of the treatment you've provided, the patient would need to pay for the treatment that you've provided and you would claim the UDA for the treatment you complete(d).

Referred to Hospital

Any treatment provided on referral under NHS Secondary Care arrangements attracts no patient charge and no FP17 claim is submitted.
