This depends on which country your contract is located in.
It's the provider's responsibility to correctly reconcile what their contract has performed in each schedule period.
England
If your contract is based in England, the activity performed by your FD will not be counted towards the activity total performed by the contract.
Any activity undertaken by dental foundation trainees in the year 2021/22 and submitted within the 60-day rule, will count towards delivery of the contract worked.
Income protection arrangements have been agreed through Q1 2022/23. During this period, we'll continue to recognise activity undertaken by dental foundation trainees as counting towards delivery of the training practice’s mandatory services contract.
This will apply to activity from 1 April to 30 June 2022. Activity must be submitted within the 60 day rule.
Wales
If your contract is based in Wales, the activity performed by your FD will be counted towards the activity total performed by the contract.
UDA Only Model
Activity performed over and above the assumed UDA target, which is 1820 per foundation year, by your FD will be counted towards the activity total performed by the contract.
You must add the units performed by the FD to the activity total given on Compass to get your contract's full total.
Dental Contract Reform
Activity performed over and above the assumed patient target of 68 (41 new urgent patients and 27 new patients) per foundation year by your FD will be counted towards the activity total performed by the contract.
