Is there a minimum age that you must be before receiving NHS dental treatment?

There is no minimum age for NHS dental treatment.

Restorations such as crowns, inlays, veneers and bridges wouldn't usually be provided to patients under the age of 17 unless there are reasons why they should be provided earlier. An example of when such treatment may be provided earlier is resin retained bridgework to replace missing teeth.

The decision as to whether NHS dental treatment is provided to a patient would be made by the performer based on his examination and assessment of the patient, whether the treatment is deemed to be clinically appropriate and the fully informed consent of the patient or their parent / guardian is received.
