From 24 April 2023, the NHS dental charges in England are:

  • Band 1 course of treatment - £25.80
  • Band 2 course of treatment - £70.70
  • Band 3 course of treatment - £306.80
  • Emergency dental treatment - £25.80
  • Regulation 11 replacement NHS dental appliances - £92.00 for one appliance or £184.00 for 2

Before 24 April 2023, the NHS dental charges were:

  • Band 1 course of treatment - £23.80
  • Band 2 course of treatment - £65.20
  • Band 3 course of treatment - £282.80
  • Emergency dental treatment - £23.80
  • Regulation 11 replacement NHS dental appliances - £84.80 for one appliance or £169.60 for 2

Scotland

Unless you are entitled to free treatment you have to pay 80% of the cost of your NHS dental treatment up to a maximum of £384.00 for each course of treatment you have.

Wales

As of 1 April 2020, the NHS dental charges in Wales are:


  • Band 1: £14.70
  • Band 2: £47.00
  • Band 3: £203.00
  • Band 4 (urgent courses of treatment): £14.70
  • Regulation 11: £60.90 for one appliance or £121.80 for two appliances

Before 1 April 2020, they were - Band 1: £14.30, Band 2: £46.00, Band 3: £199.10, Band 4 (urgent courses of treatment): £14.30, Regulation 11: £57.50 for one appliance or £117.00 for two appliances.

Isle of Man

As of 1 April 2019, the NHS dental charges in the Isle of Mann are:


  • Band 1: £14.30

  • Band 2: £46.00

  • Band 3: £199.10

  • Band 4 (urgent courses of treatment): £14.30

  • Regulation 11: £59.70 for one appliance or £119.40 for two appliances

Before 1 April 2019, they were - Band 1: £14.00, Band 2: £45.00, Band 3: £195.00, Band 4 (urgent courses of treatment): £14.00, Regulation 11: £57.50 for one appliance or £117.00 for two appliances.
