The band for recementing a crown depends on the scenario.
You must claim Unscheduled Care if you’re replacing an old post or pin. It does not matter if the post or core was laboratory made, prefabricated, or adapted at the chairside. If the original crown is being recemented, the treatment must be classified as Unscheduled Care if the crown recementation was the only treatment provided.
You must claim Unscheduled Care in any scenario other than when:
- you’re carrying out a band 1 check-up - the recement is part of the band 1 claim
- there is a current open course of dental treatment with your contract - the recement is provided as part of the open course
