The band for re-cementing a crown would depend on the scenario. You would claim an urgent claim even if you are just replacing an old post or pin. It doesn't matter whether the post/core was laboratory made, prefabricated or adapted at the chairside - if the original crown is being recemented then the treatment should be classified as 'Urgent' (provided the crown recementation was the only treatment provided). You would claim an urgent claim in any scenario other than:
- You are carrying out a band 1 check up, the re-cement would be part of the band 1 claim.
- There is a current, open course of dental treatment with your contract, the re-cement would be provided as part of the open course.
