If this is the only Band 2 treatment being provided, you can claim a Band 2a Denture Modification for a denture:

  • addition
  • reline
  • repair

As with any Band 2 claim, it's a requirement for:

  • an examination and assessment of the patient's oral health
  • completion of the planned treatment

Denture modifications after 23 June 2026

If a denture modification is provided during other Band 2 treatment, a maximum of 2 Units of Dental Activity (UDA) can be claimed.

This is in addition to the UDAs for the Band 2 course of treatment.

The patient charge is a single Band 2 charge.

If a denture modification is provided during, or within 3 months of the completion of a Complex Care Pathway, a maximum of 2 UDAs can be claimed in addition to the UDAs credited for the Complex Care Pathway.

The patient charge is a Band 2.

No additional UDAs can be claimed for denture repairs or denture modifications if completed as part of a Band 3 course of treatment.
