If you are a dentist who is currently contributing to the NHS Pension and want to claim your pension your last day of service will usually would be the day before your pension is due to be paid.

For example, if you turn 60 on 01/04/2019 and want to take your pension from this date, your last day of service and the date that would be used on any NHS contract's you are currently attached to would be 31/03/2019.
