There's a superannuable ceiling for performers who are paying extra contributions for Added Years (AY), and are on the Inland Revenue earnings cap.

This shows the superannuable ceiling for AY and the year in which the ceiling relates to:

  • 2011/12 - £129,600
  • 2012/13 - £137,000
  • 2013/14 - £141,000
  • 2014/15 - £145,800
  • 2015/16 - £149,400
  • 2016/17 - £150,600
  • 2017/18 - £154,200
  • 2018/19 - £160,800
  • 2019/20 - £166,200
  • 2020/21 - £170,400
  • 2021/22 - £172,800
  • 2022/23 - £205,200

When you reach this ceiling, we'll stop taking contributions on the AY only. The usual tier contributions will still be taken.
