If you're repeating an NHS funded year, you're eligible for repeat funding including tuition fees.

Repeat study years you took before you were eligible to apply for a bursary are not counted towards the required years study.

If you're repeating an NHS funded year, you may be considered for extended funding. You're allowed one period of repeat funding up to a maximum of 12 months throughout the duration of a course.

Any further repeat study over and above the maximum 12 months, must be self-funded.

To be considered for an extension or repeat of the tuition fees contribution, your course dates must include the 1 December in the applicable academic year.

You must select you're repeating a year when completing your NHS Student Bursary application.

We'll process your completed application when we receive confirmation of your extension from your university.
