A TRS is a summary of your NHS Pension Scheme benefits to 31 March.

Updated statements are available between August and December each year for the previous Scheme year ending 31 March.

Practitioners TRS will be updated to 31 March of the previous year.

A TRS shows:

  • your basic pay
  • additional allowances
  • annual leave entitlement for employers who use Electronic Staff Record (ESR)
  • your pension benefits for NHS Pension Scheme members.

Some NHS organisations include:

  • health and wellbeing programmes
  • learning and development
  • flexible working opportunities
  • childcare vouchers
  • cycle to work schemes.

The information used is held by your employer and NHS Pensions.

If you have a query about updating your personal details or employer benefits, contact your employer.

It’s not possible to opt out of receiving a TRS.

Visit our website for further information on TRS.

Normal Pension Age (NPA)

You’ll receive a TRS until you reach your NPA.

If you’re over your NPA and have not yet claimed your benefits, your pension will be backdated to your NPA. This only applies if you’ve not worked in the NHS since.

If you’re a member that moved to the 2015 Scheme on 1 April 2022, your TRS will not show projected benefits until NPA
