Your Total Reward or Annual Benefit Statement (TRS/ABS) will show the amount of added years you have already purchased as at the last update. However, If you take these benefits at age 55 your Added Years benefits will be subject to a reduction for early payment. This is because you may claim your pension benefits before the select end date of your Added Years contract.
Unless you are over your normal pension age of 55 the reduction is not shown in the current value. The reduction will however be shown in any projected pension benefits beyond your normal pension age of 55.
If I am a Special Class / Mental Health Officer (MHO) member with an Added Years contract to age 60, will this be taken into account on my Total Reward Statement (TRS) if I take my pension at 55?
