Your PPC must start on the date you collect your medication. If you get your medication by delivery, your PPC must start on the date of delivery.

It must not start on the date your prescription is prescribed or the date you take the prescription to a pharmacy.

When you buy a PPC you can choose a start date within one month behind or forward.

If you’ve already paid for an NHS prescription and collected an FP57 receipt to claim a refund, your PPC must cover the date on the FP57.

If you've bought a PPC in the last month, you can change the start date of your PPC.

Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) are issued at least 2 months after a prescription is collected. You cannot amend the start date of your PPC to cover a PCN.
