Your medical exemption certificate will be valid for 5 years from the start date on the certificate or until your 60th birthday, whichever is sooner.
Anyone over the age of 60 is entitled to free NHS prescriptions.
The start date will be backdated one month from the date your FP92A application form is received. We're unable to amend the start date of a medical exemption certificate.
Your medical exemption certificate must be valid on the date you collect your NHS prescription.
