We use the word ‘partner’ for a person you live with as part of a couple.
A partner can be the same or opposite sex and you can be married, have a civil partnership or neither.
If you and your partner live together as a couple, you must include both your details on your application.
You do not need to include your partner if they:
- live in full-time residential care
- are in prison
