Part 2 of the HC1 application asks about children that live with you and who you support financially.

If you have joint custody of a child, the person responsible for them is the person:

  • receiving Child Benefit for them
  • the child usually lives with if Child Benefit is no longer being paid

If this does not apply, tell us about the child in Part 9. You must tell us who receives Child Benefit for the child.
