Who do I need to tell you about in the 'people who live with me' section of my application?

Online application

You’ll be asked if you have children living with you. This includes children you support financially and are either:

• under 16
• aged 16 to 19 and in unpaid or full time education studying for a qualification no higher than A level or equivalent 

You'll then be asked about other people who live in your home. 

This includes: 

• friends
• relatives 
• lodgers 

You do not need to tell us about co-owners or co-renters. 

Paper application

The application asks you to tell us about people who live in your home, other than people you've already told us about in Part 1 and 2.

This includes:

• friends
• relatives
• lodgers

You do not need to tell us about co-owners or co-renters.

If you live in somebody else’s home, answer ‘No’ to question 3.1.
