 Part 4 of the HC1 application asks you to tell us about:

If you're a student and the amount you have in the bank includes any of the loans you've taken for this academic year, you must tell us how much of your loan is included in your savings in Part 9.

You cannot get help if you or your partner, or both, have more than:

  • £16,000 in savings, investments or property, not including the place where you live
  • £23,250 in savings, investments or property if you live permanently in a care home or £24,000 if you live in Wales
