Some people with long-term complex health needs qualify for free social care arranged and funded soley by the NHS.
This is known as NHS continuing healthcare.
NHS continuing healthcare does not entitle you to help with your NHS health costs including:
- dental treatment
- prescriptions
- eye tests
- travel to NHS appointments
You can apply for help through the NHS Low Income Scheme by completing an HC1 application.
