‘Fair Deal’ is a policy updated by HM Treasury on 7 October 2013. It allows employees who compulsorily transferred from the public sector to an independent sector organisation or linked transfer to contribute to the NHS Pension Scheme.

The updated policy from 2013 is known as the ‘New Fair Deal’.

The new employer can make an application for transferring staff to contribute to the NHS Pension Scheme.
