If your 1995 or 2008 Section membership ended more than 5 years before you joined the 2015 Scheme, you can transfer out your previous membership. You must be under Normal Pension Age (NPA) for that Section.

If you did not have a 5 year break, you cannot transfer out your previous membership as it's linked to your 2015 Scheme membership. You'll retain a final salary link.

If you leave pensionable membership in the 2015 Scheme, you’ll become a deferred member. You’re eligible to transfer out pension rights from either both Schemes or one.

If you're transferring to a scheme that is a member of the Public Sector Transfer Club, you must transfer membership from both schemes. You'll retain a final salary link.

Read more information on transferring out on our website.

Application

You do not need to make separate applications.

The transfers team will calculate a transfer value for each section of the Scheme.

You’ll receive separate option forms to complete, one for each Section of the Scheme you’re a member of.
