We will accept it if your dependant has the same surname as you.
If you have different surnames, you must upload the long version of their birth certificate instead because it includes the child's parents' details.
If your name is not listed on the birth certificate, you must upload one of the following:
- an original valid passport
- an original up to date Child Benefit letter
- child Tax Credit award notice.
