First year postgraduate students
- your original valid passport
If you've completed an application form which includes allowances for your children, you must also upload one the following for each child you're claiming for:
- an original valid passport
- an original birth certificate
- an original up to date Child Benefit letter or Child Tax Credit award notice
If you and your child have different surnames, you must upload the long version of their birth certificate instead of the short version. This is because the long version features the child's parents' details.
If your name is not listed on the birth certificate, you must send one of the other acceptable documents.
If you've completed an application form which includes an allowance for an adult dependant, you must also upload one of the following for the adult dependant you're claiming for:
- an original valid passport
- an original birth certificate
Continuing postgraduate students
You do not need to upload ID again.
