If you have membership in both sections of the scheme and want to retire early due to ill health a seperate application must be made for each section.

As long as you have at least two years qualifying membership in the 1995 scheme you may apply to claim your 2008 membership even if your total 2008 service totals less than two years.

If you are applying for retirement from both sections of the scheme an AW240 must be completed for consideration of the 1995 membership and either an AW33E if an active 2008 member or another AW240 if a deferred 2008 member.

We cannot treat a single form as an application for both schemes as each section has its own seperate set of regulations.

For more information, please see the Ill Health Retirement Benefits section of our website.
