New position number

Where a new position number is required as part of a recruitment, the position number field in Trac should be left blank and it will be completed by the HR Shared Services (HRSS) Workforce Systems team when the vacancy goes through the authorisation process.

If a new position number needs to be created and it is not part of a recruitment, you should follow the Business Services Authority's (BSA) Establishment Control process.

Existing position number

Where a position number already exists and you require it for the post you are recruiting to, please contact the Corporate HR team who will be able to provide this information.
