Yes, the Full Time Equivalent (FTE) of a vacancy can be increased.
Is Approval Required?
Yes, the Recruiting Manager (RM) or Delegate will need to gain approval for the increase from the Business Services Authority (BSA) Finance team.

The increase in FTE can be approved by either the Strategic Compliance and Assurance Lead or Head of Financial Reporting and will be sent via their Outlook account.
The approval will need to be sent to HR Shared Services (HRSS) via an email to the HRSS Query team or by responding to a Trac communication from their Outlook account in relation to the specific vacancy.
When can the changes be made?
Before advert is authorised
Should you wish to amend the FTE before the Advert has been authorised and published, please contact the HR Shared Services (HRSS) Query team in writing to request the vacancy is moved back to ‘Draft’ to allow you to make the required amendments once approval has been confirmed. You will then need to re-submit the vacancy for authorisation.
After Advert is authorised
Please email the HRSS Query team with the request and also the approval from Finance to increase the FTE.
