When creating a vacancy request, the Recruiting Manager (RM) must enter the name and email address of each Authoriser in a specific order.

The order is determined by adding a number into the field next to the Authorisers name. This is known as the authorisation path.

If the order has been entered incorrectly, the request will be sent back to draft by the HR Shared Services (HRSS) Admin Support team.

The table below shows the authorisation path that must be used:

1

Head of Service

If you are unsure as to who the Head of Service is, please contact Corporate HR

2

Finance Business Partner

A list of Finance Business Partners for each Service Area can be found on the Hub.

Please Note: the Finance Team email nhsbsa.financerecapp@nhs.net can also be accepted.

3

Your HR Business Partner (HRBP)

If you are unsure as to who your HR Business Partner is, please contact Corporate HR

RM's should only select the generic finance account as an approver for a vacancy request.

Once the vacancy request has gone to the HR Business Partner and it is authorised, they will add the following three or four authorisers:

4

hrworkforceandsystems@nhsbsa.nhs.uk

5

HR Advisory

nhsbsa.corporatehr@nhs.net

6

Apprenticeship Lead (if applicable)

Only required if for an apprentice recruitment.

7

HRSS Admin Support team

admin.support@nhsbsa.nhs.uk

If a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check has been identified the Admin Support Team will add the following additional authoriser:
