Identification Documents (ID) and Right to Work (RTW) documents will be provided by the candidate during the pre-employment checking stage of a recruitment.
HR Shared Services (HRSS) will request the documents via the Amiqus Digital Pre-employment Checking (DPEC) system.
The candidate must then upload digital copies of the ID and RTW documents via the Amiqus DPEC system by clicking on the link provided to them in the initial/chase Amiqus DPEC request email.
Before HRSS can review/approve any RTW/photographic identification documents, the candidate must successfully complete the Photo ID verification request included on the Amiqus DPEC request. This will allow HRSS to establish a true likeness of the candidate against the documents provided.
Providing Amiqus can verify a candidates Valid UK/Irish passport to UK Government identity standards, or the candidate is able to provide a Valid Home Office Sharecode, a physical review of the original RTW documentation will not be required, However, any other forms of RTW documentation must be reviewed face to face, no later than the first day in post.
Once HRSS have received acceptable RTW, the candidate and manager will be informed if a face to face review is required.
If there is any doubt about the validity of the documents provided, this should be raised with the Corporate HR team who will contact the Local Counter Fraud Specialist.
Candidate living abroad
If a candidate lives abroad and is unable to provide the documents at Interview, the RM must request approval from the Corporate HR team for the candidate to start without the check being completed.
If granted, the approval should be sent to HRSS to enable them to progress with the recruitment. The check can then be completed after the candidate has started in post.
