Requesting longer or shorter advertising periods
A request for a vacancy to be advertised for a longer or shorter period will need to be requested after the vacancy has been advertised.
This can be done via a response to a Trac communication received into your outlook account related to the vacancy, or by emailing the HR Shared Services (HRSS) Query team.
Vacancy closing time
The closing time for all vacancies will be set to midnight on the day it's due to close.
Closing dates that fall on a Friday or Saturday
If the Recruiting Manager (RM) has entered a closing date that falls on a Friday or Saturday, HRSS will amend the closing date to the Sunday. This allows the HRSS Recruitment team to make the Shortlisting available one working day after the vacancy closes.
Bank Holidays
Bank holidays are considered as working days for the purpose of the advertising duration; therefore, an extra day will not be added if a bank holiday falls within the advertising period.
The only exception to this rule is if the vacancy closes on a Sunday where the following Monday is a bank holiday. In this case the closing date will be amended to midnight on the bank holiday Monday. This will allow the HRSS Recruitment team to make the Shortlisting available one working day after the vacancy closes.
