Yes, the Full Time Equivalent (FTE) of a vacancy can be increased.

Before Authorisation is requested

As long as the vacancy request has not been sent for authorisation, the Recruiting Manager (RM) is able to make the required amendments to the FTE.

After Authorisation has been requested

When the RM has already requested authorisation and are waiting for approval, they can send an email to the HR Shared Services (HRSS) Query team to request that the vacancy be sent back to draft to allow them to update the FTE and re-submit the vacancy for authorisation.

Alternatively, the RM can allow the vacancy to go through authorisation. Should the authorisation be granted they can then send an email to HRSS requesting that the FTE be increased once the advert has been made live. In the event that the vacancy is redrafted the RM can update the FTE themselves.
