You can apply for help with your health costs if you live in a care home.
To be entitled to help, you must have less than £23,250 or £24,000 if you're a resident in Wales, in savings, investments, or property.
Follow the guidance for if you:
- permanently live in a care home and the local authority helps with the cost of your care
- live in a care home and the local authority does not help with the cost of your care

You can apply online for help with your health costs.
If you cannot apply online, you must complete a paper HC1 (SC) form. You can request this by:
- calling Xerox on 0300 123 0849 if you live in England
- calling the Welsh Government publications line on 0345 603 1108 if you live in Wales
- going into your local pharmacy if you live in Scotland
