If you're a midwife, practice nurse, or health visitor, you can register online to issue digital certificates on behalf of new or expectant mothers.

If you’re a doctor, you cannot currently self-register online for this service. You can still use the online service, but we’ll handle your registration.
Email healthcosts@nhsbsa.nhs.uk including your:
- name
- General Medical Council (GMC) reference number
- organisation's email address
We'll use these details to check your professional identity.
Once we've confirmed your identity, we'll register you and send you the login details to issue certificates on behalf of your patients.
You'll receive a reply to your email within 3 working days.
