You must transfer patients to your OCS code if they’ve previously been nominated at the pharmacy site.
Your system supplier will do this automatically on the date of transfer of ownership and contact you to confirm.
To see if your EPS nominations have been transferred, cross-reference your total number of nominations on the Nominations by Dispenser spread sheet on the NHS Digital website.
If your pharmacy is permanently closing, your nominations must be removed by NHS Digital. This stops patients’ prescriptions being sent to a closed pharmacy.
You must give at least 3 months’ notice to NHS England before closing a pharmacy (6 months for a 100-hour pharmacy).
