Employer – If I create a job listing in NHS Jobs, do I need to create a vacancy and requisition in ESR?

ESR creates the vacancy and requisition using the self-generated vacancy reference number from NHS Jobs.

This means if the vacancy reference was ‘C9123-1001’, upon receiving the vacancy, ESR prefixes the first three digits of the NHS Organisations Virtual Private Database (VPD) number and creates the requisition by adding ‘REQ’ to the vacancy reference for the requisition reference.

The ESR displayed vacancy reference would be ‘123-C9123-1001’ and the requisition reference would be ‘123-REQ-C9123-1001’.
