The automatic checks are performed for registrants of the following bodies:
- General Medical Council (GMC) within 24 hours
- Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) within 24 hours
- General Dental Council (GDC) within 24 hours
- General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) within 24 hours
- Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) within 7 days
You must manually check the details for any other professional registration.
After ESR matches the professional registration record and is updated with any additional attributes from the register, it sends an update to NHS Jobs with the updated attributes, such as status, to assist with completing this pre-employment check.
