What should I do if an NHS Pension Scheme member has died?

If the deceased member was actively employed in the NHS at the time of their death, contact their NHS employer.

If the deceased member was not actively employed in the NHS, contact us providing either their:

• NHS Pensions membership (SD) number
• National Insurance (NI) number

If the deceased member was receiving their NHS pension, contact us.
