To log in:

  1. Open the My NHS Pension website.
  2. Select Sign in/Register.
  3. Enter the username and password created during registration.
  4. Enter the security code sent to your telephone number or two-factor authenticator (2FA).

You’ll be logged out of My NHS Pension automatically after 20 minutes if you’re inactive.

Forgotten username or password

If you get the error message ‘Invalid username or password’ this means you’ve entered the wrong details. You must enter the details you created when you registered.

If you’ve forgotten your username:

  1. Select Forgotten Username.
  2. Enter the email address used to register.
  3. Select Send Username - your username will be sent by email.

If you’ve forgotten your password:

  1. Select Forgotten Password.
  2. Enter your username.
  3. Enter the verification code sent to the email address you registered with.
  4. Create a new password.

If you've not received the email or have not verified your email address, you can use one of the recovery codes you were given when you first registered.

If you incorrectly submit your details 10 times, your account will be locked. Email nhsbsa.mynhspension@nhsbsa.nhs.uk to unlock your account.

No longer have access to telephone number or 2FA

You must use one of your recovery codes you were given when you first registered.

If you’re still not able to login to your account, email nhsbsa.mynhspension@nhsbsa.nhs.uk including all your personal details.

Security questions

If the answer to your security question included a space or special character, these will be removed.

Enter the answer without the space or special character.
