The PFS includes 7 new clinical pathways. This allows pharmacists to offer advice and prescribe NHS medicines to treat:

  • sore throat
  • earache
  • infected insect bites
  • impetigo
  • shingles
  • uncomplicated urinary tract infections in women

More information on these conditions and the service specification can be found on NHS England Website.
