Does my Baby Loss Certificate prove I was entitled to help with my health costs?

You cannot use a Baby Loss Certificate as evidence to remove a penalty charge. This is because certificates are a voluntary self-declaration.

Baby Loss Certificates were introduced by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) to recognise parent's grief and loss.

Certificates are official but are not legal documents.
