When registering for the first time, you must provide a UK mobile phone number.

If you're making changes on the NHS Bursary system, you’ll be sent an SMS code to your mobile phone number to enter.

You can request a maximum of 10 codes per 6 hour period.

If you do not have access to the phone the SMS code is being sent to, you’ll be given an option to change the mobile number.

Signing in

The first time you sign in, you’ll be asked if your mobile phone number is correct. If it’s incorrect, you must change it.

If you have no mobile phone number on your NHS Bursary account, you must add one.

Once the correct number is added to your record, you’ll be sent an SMS code to sign in.

Future sign in attempts

If you choose to ‘remember device’, you’ll be signed in straight away.

If you did not choose to ‘remember device’, an SMS code will be sent to you each time you want to sign in.

Forgotten your password

If you forget your password, you can request a password reset email.

When you select the link, you’ll receive an SMS code which you must enter before you change your password.

Change of details

If you're changing your email address or password, you’ll be sent an SMS code to enter to confirm the changes.

If you're changing your mobile phone number, you’ll be sent a link by email which prompts you to confirm your mobile phone number is correct.

If it's incorrect, you must change it.
