This depends on your age on the first day of the academic year you’re applying for.
Under 25
You must upload the letter from Student Finance confirming they assessed you as an independent student. This is a separate letter to the award letter which confirms your entitlement to Student Finance.
If Student Finance cannot provide confirmation you were assessed as an independent student, you may be asked to upload further evidence to support this.
The evidence needed depends on why you're an independent student.
Age 25 or over
You must upload either your:
- passport
- driving licence
- birth certificate
