If you're a non UK National and we've asked you to show that you've been ordinarily resident in the UK for the 3 years before the start of your course, we’ll accept:

  • utility bills
  • Council Tax bills
  • tenancy agreements
  • Child Tax Credit award notices
  • Child Benefit letters
  • your children's UK birth certificates
  • bank statements showing regular activity in the UK
  • payslips
  • P60s
  • letters from employers
  • letters from educational institutions

Your documents must cover each of the 3 years before the start date of your course.

If you have ‘Indefinite Leave to Enter’ or ‘Indefinite Leave to Remain’ in the UK, you do not need to send evidence to support your ordinary residence status.
