If you’ve paid for your dental treatment, you must send us evidence of this by email to nhsbsa.decs@nhsbsa.nhs.uk such as a:

  • receipt
  • bank statement

You must hide or remove your account number and sort code before sending.

Alternatively, this can be sent by post to:

Dental Exemption Checking Service
Bridge House
152 Pilgrim Street
Newcastle Upon Tyne
NE1 6SN

If you do not have proof of payment, ask your dental practice to send us an email confirming you paid for your treatment.

The confirmation must be sent to nhsbsa.decs@nhsbsa.nhs.uk from their dental practice email account.

If they do not have a dental practice account, they can send it from their private account or by post on headed paper and stamped.

It must include:

  • your full name
  • your date of birth
  • your full address and postcode
  • the reference number from our letter
  • the dentists name
  • the dental practice address
  • the treatment dates
  • the date paid
  • the amount paid
