You're eligible to apply for Healthy Start if you're more than 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under the age of 4.

You must live in either:

  • England
  • Wales
  • Northern Ireland

If you live in Scotland, you must apply for Best Start.

You must be receiving either:

  • Universal Credit and your family's total take-home pay is £408 or less per month
  • Income Support
  • income-based Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA)
  • Pension Credit which includes the child addition
